Kenya is a
beautiful country of lush farmlands, endless savannah and
brooding valleys. The rich diversity
of this country has always provided something to satisfy
the most curious spirit. It shares borders with five countries:
Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan Tanzania and Uganda. The main attractions
of Kenya are its people, its endless array of ecosystems
and magnificent range of wildlife including the “Big Five”
group of animals.
Kenyan people are as diverse as the landscape and include the predominantly westernised youth culture of
Nairobi, the Islamic Swahili people on the coast and communities
that still live the traditional way of life such as the Maasai
and Samburu pastoralists. For a virtual tour through the country,
we encourage you to visit the website, Magical
Kenya.
Our villages are located in various rural areas in Kenya. We have carefully chosen sites that are not too isolated but at the same time have a very authentic rural setting. We are looking to expand our locations over the next couple of years to increase the variety of cultures represented in our tours. The communities that we have consulted and engaged to participate in these tours are located in the following areas:
i) Mukarara Village, Murang’a, Central Province
ii) Olturoto Village, Kajiado North, Rift Valley Province
iii) Karurumo Village, Embu, Eastern Province
iv) Kariara Village, Aberdare’s region, Central Province
v) Kabimoi Village, Baringo, Rift Valley Province
